Meet Sonja Hart, RN
Sonja has worked at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Winchester since 2006. She is currently an RN Case Manager. We asked Sonja to share about the steps she takes to try to stay healthy and take care of her heart and why it is important to her...
What steps do you take to stay healthy and take care of her heart with you busy lifestyle?
"The steps I take to stay healthy and take care of my heart is self-care through adequate nutrition, daily exercise, and sleep. I like to meal prep on Sundays to have healthy available food options throughout the week such as lean proteins like chicken, vegetables, low glycemic carbs, and lots of water! I do indulge in sweet treats in moderation! My favorite form of exercise is Crossfit in the mornings before work. Crossfit is a group fitness class which provides me encouragement and an extra support system."
Why is it important to you to take these steps to stay healthy and take care of your heart?
"It is important to me to take these steps daily for disease prevention, functional health, and a way to destress through life’s daily challenges. By taking care of myself I can take better care of others, such as my family."
